CAUTIONS AND CONTRA INDICATIONS. The above is provided by a non-medical expert and for entertainment use only. Always obtain medical advice before using medicines.

Notes on the list of anti inflammatory medicines

Paracetamol is a good painkiller, and is less likely to cause side-effects. Although paracetamol does not reduce inflammation, it is often the preferred painkiller for muscle and joint conditions that cause pain but have little inflammation. Paracetamol (acetaminophen) is not an NSAID because although it is an antipyretic and analgesic, it is not an anti-inflammatory.

Our list is actually a list of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines (NSAIDs). NSAIDs can be used as simple pain killers (analgesics), but paracetamol is usually preferable, as it is likely to have less unwanted side effects, and costs less.

NSAIDs also come as creams and gels that you rub into your skin for joint or muscle pain. You can rub these gently into the painful area three or four times a day for up to a week to relieve pain. NSAIDs have less potential for abuse than opioids; physical dependence on these medications has not been reported.

Researchers at The Rockefeller University found that a receptor known to shield HIV and Hepatitis C from an effective immune response is also essential to the therapeutic effects of a common anti-inflammatory drug, intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG). The finding opens up new possibilities for developing drugs to suppress the inflammation caused by autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.

Research shows that inflammation in the body not only increases your risk of disease (including heart disease and stroke) but can make it tougher to lose weight as well.

Aspirin and the related NSAR drugs act on the arachidonic acid biosynthesis cascade, which plays a central role in the onset of pain and inflammation. They thus prevent the synthesis of specific prostaglandins, which are essential for vital bodily functions.

Aspirin is an NSAID medicine but it does not increase the chance of a heart attack. Aspirin can cause bleeding in the brain, stomach, and intestines.

Inflammatory processes may have various causes, an infection, for example. Chronic inflammatory diseases also exist, such as ulcerous colitis or multiple sclerosis, where, due to a constant state of inflammation, the cells are destabilised, provoking neoplasic processes.

What is inflammation? Inflammation is the process by which the body’s white blood cells protect us from injury, infection and irritation. This protective process causes pain and swelling when you bump your head, redness and itching when you get a bug bite and sneezing and aching when you suffer from the flu. Inflammation is the body’s tissue reacting to certain things that cause irritation. Excess fat is one such irritant.

Patients should always address specific medical concerns with their physicians. Patients who take non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs for severe arthritis must take them regularly over a long time. Several weeks may be needed to feel the results, so it is important to keep taking the medicine, even if it does not seem to be working at first.

CAUTIONS AND CONTRA INDICATIONS. The above is provided by a non-medical expert and for entertainment use only. Always obtain medical advice before using medicines.

In the main acne can be treated quite simply and easily by the sufferer using simple hygiene and over-the-counter medication. These skin care treatments can quickly resolve mild cases of acne. Some people, however, experience persistent, stubborn acne that does not respond to available treatment or which has the potential to result in scarring.

Sebum plays the biggest role in formation of acne. If there were no sebum, there would be no acne. Sebum, together with other natural oils forms a barrier known as the hydro-lipid system. This barrier acts to keep foreign substances out of our bodies and keeps water inside the body for as long as possible.

Benzoyl Peroxide can help reduce acne. It’s action takes place as it forces peroxide into the follicle where it releases a form of oxygen. It is effective because the P acne bacteria can only survive in an oxygen-free environment.

Benzoyl peroxide salicylic aciddecutc benzoyl peroxide lotion: benzoyl peroxide is available as cream benzoyl peroxide lotion, gel benzoyl peroxide lotion, lotion and wash at carefully controlled concentrations.

Benzoyl peroxide can be found in several different forms of products including gels, creams, cleansing bars, cleansing lotions, facial masks and sticks. It is strongly advised to use benzoyl peroxide only as directed.

Topical sulfur kills various strains of bacteria (which cause acne), fungus, parasites and other types of micro-organisms. The sulfur is micro-encapsulated into a water-soluble emulsion (cream) with skin penetrating properties.

Topical antibiotics prescribed by dermatologists help fight acne by means of killing the bacteria that infect the pores. It must be noted that longer use of these forms of acne cures may cause some bacteria to become resistant to them.

Dermatologists advise that acne (acne scar medication) be dosed arching to exploit effectualness as cured as aid prevent scarring. Dermatologists can equip one with knowledge on skin care so that acne can finally be treated.

Bacteria play an important role, causing a secondary infection of the comedones or cysts. Acne affects approximately one-third of teenagers to varying degrees, and a growing number of acne outbreaks may be observed among adults. Bacteria play a role by producing a low level of inflammation. This is the reason why I don’t give antibiotics in my clinic.

Soaps should be used at least twice a day and the skin should be patted dry after the wash. A topical gel or cream application of aloe vera can then be applied to the inflamed or infected areas. Soaps should be used at least twice a day and the skin should be patted dry following the wash. A topical gel, such as the Dermazone Anti-Acne and Pimple Gel, can then be applied to the inflamed or infected areas.

Surgery for Acne

Surgery for the treatment of acne can involve opening and draining clogged matter from the acne lesions. Blackhead and whitehead treatments do not require actual surgery. Instead, a nurse, dermatologist, or esthetician uses a small blade to open the lesion and remove the matter inside.

Severe cysts associated with acne may require excisional surgery. This is a more involved surgical process by which deep acne cysts can be removed. This surgery is avoided when possible because it tends to cause scarring.

If you have acne that does not respond well to treatments available over the counter, when paired with good skin care; do not despair. The laser treatments for acne can prevent your having to suffer annoying, painful acne blemishes or live with lifelong scars from these blemishes.
